PAAF MISSION STATEMENT
Who We Are
Port Adelaide Artists Forum was founded in 2005, and since then we’ve held frequent public and private showings and events. Unfortunately our own Gallery Yampu, located on the Port River, was demolished in 2003. Since that time we have been operating out of the Harts Mill Packing Shed on the docks in Port Adelaide. We also arrange other community arts events such as concerts and workshops. We pride ourselves on our artists and know that everyone who visits Port Adelaide Artists Forum will find a work of art or a participatory event that connects with them. Join as a member to keep in touch with PAAF news and events.

Acknowledgement of country
PAAF acknowledges that we, and our Gallery Yampu home, are on Kaurna Country, its sovereignty never ceded. We acknowledge Kaurna people as the continuing custodians of the Adelaide Plains who have a spiritual relationship with this land and the water. We respect their cultural authority. We pay our respect to Kaurna Elders, past, present and emerging, and through them to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”
Andy Warhol
